Instructions for Temporary Medical Licensing in fiji

1) Fill out the application (below section)

Please fill out and return the application (below) with accompanying documents to janet@natuvu.org. Your application will be submitted with the documents you provide as well as the temporary liability memorandum we will obtain for you and letters of invitation and good standing. We will make payment to Fiji. Please do not send any paperwork or money directly to Fiji

NOTE: MD and DDS practitioners only. Fiji does not have the equivalent of Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license. These providers are still welcome and needed! They will work under the license & supervision of a doctor on the team or our resident MD and will still have liability coverage.

SUGGESTION: Download and save the application and also “print to PDF” before you close the file, as sometimes people don’t save properly and lose the data they filled in.

*ATTACHMENTS: IF PHOTO & DOCUMENT ATTACHMENTS DON'T WORK, PLEASE SEND THESE SEPARATELY IN AN EMAIL WITH THE FILLED APPLICATION TO JANET@NATUVU.ORG.

2) Attach a photo

Your photo should be a recent headshot, that can be a "selfie" or candid shot (just no sunglasses on!)

3) Section 4 - Registration

Dates: Use the clinic dates, (Mon-Fri) and not the weekend travel dates for your licensing. The "reason for seeking registration" has been filled in for you.

3) Section 6 - Professional indemnity

This section has been filled in for you.

4) supporting documents

Along with your filled application, the supporting documents needed are:

PASSPORT
CURRENT LICENSE TO PRACTICE
COLLEGE & MEDICAL OR DENTAL SCHOOL DEGREES
MOST RECENT CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE

5) Liability Form

As part of your application, we will apply for international liability insurance. Please fill out and return the liability form so that we have the information we need for the application.

Applications for Fiji Temporary medical & dental providers

Please download, fill out, and return the temporary application for your specialty to janet@natuvu.org. The Fiji Medical and Dental Secretariat does not recognize D.O. or P.A. licenses, so you do not need to fill one out if you are a D.O. or a P.A. and will work under the license of another MD (or our clinic resident MD). Nurses also can work under an MD. Nurses only need to fill out this form if there are no MDs in the group. Further instructions below.
